Idris Elba Still On The Table For James Bond
It’s no secret that there are big shoes to be filled for whoever takes over the role of James Bond.
In the 27 movies that have been produced there have been seven actors who graced the role. Those actors, in order, are Sean Connery, David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig.
The movie in the James Bond series, “No Time to Die,” premiered less than a year ago. It marks the last movie that Daniel Craig will be 007.
Though his gun is still warm, folks are wondering who will be the next lucky actor to play the part.
One of the actors that many fans are calling for is Idris Elba.
Elba is a very well know English actor who had starred in many blockbusters including “Beasts of No Nation,” “Thor: Ragnarok,” “Legacy” and more.
Just recently the producers of the James Bond films, Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson, sat down with the podcast “Crew Call” to discuss some of the rumors.
In that interview, Broccoli said that she knew Elba well and that he is ‘part of the conversation.’
Broccoli also mentioned that nothing is really being talked about since “No Time to Die” was just released. They want Craig’s Bond to enjoy the cycle of the release before making any moves and filling ‘the seat.’
