Masked Singer Costume Designer LEAVES!
Here is some unexpected news coming out of Hollywood today.
For the past 6 seasons of the Masked Singer, the show had won a ton of awards for their costume designs.
These designs have been made possible due to one person, Marina Toybina. She just announced on Instagram that she is no longer with the show.
Let’s talk about this and more. (see video at the bottom)
Marina has been with the show since season 1 and have brought us every costume that we love.
Marina has been in the business for a long time. She got her start in 2007 for Britney Spears’ music video for “Piece of Me”
Throughout her time she had worked on the X-Factor, The Superbowl Halftime show with Katy Perry (yes she gave us the dancing shark), and of course the Masked Singer.
Her Masked Singer costumes were so great in fact that other versions of the Masked Singer have reached out to her to have her design their costumes.
This includes Masked Singer Germany and a few others.
She has won a total of 5 Emmy awards for her costumes (this just shows you how big of a deal she is).
In her Instagram post she went on to say;
“It’s been an incredible journey with my TMS family. We created some extraordinary costumes and unforgettable memories. Season 6 was my last season as the costume designer and I hope you all enjoyed our TV magic. I’m excited for what the future holds & wishing my entire team and crew an amazing season 7!”
We don’t know who will be replacing Marina but we wish her the best of luck in her future.
Stay tuned for more details.
