Tom Brady Officially Announces His Retirement From The NFL

Since last week’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers loss, many have been speculating if quarterback, Tom Brady, would be retiring from the NFL.

There had been so many rumors going around. One of these rumors was that he would be heading to the San Francisco 49ers to be a quarterback.

On Brady’s podcast, “Let’s Go!” he finally commented on the rumors and said that he wasn’t ready to make up his mind yet on his retirement.

In his message, he said that he was still going through the process and that he needed time to evaluate how he feels.

He must not have needed much time because earlier today on A Twitter post he made his decision.

After 22 years in the National Football League, Tom Brady is out.

Below is his message.

“I have always believed the sport of football is an “all-in” proposition – if 100% competitive commitment isn’t there, you won’t succeed, and success is what I love so much about your game. There is a physical, mental and emotional challenge EVERY single day that has allowed me to maximize my highest potential. And I have tried my very best these past 22 years. there are no shortcuts to guess on the field or in life.

This is difficult for me to write, but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore. I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention.”

This news may push off those rumors that he would be switching to another team.
