Sherri Shepherd to Become Permanent Host of Wendy Williams Show

Sherri Shepherd to Become Permanent Host of Wendy Williams Show

If you have been following the ever-changing landscape of The Wendy Williams Show then you would know that big changes must be coming.

For the past several months, several guest hosts have been hosting the popular daytime talk show, “The Wendy Williams Show.”

Those guests have included, Michael Rapaport, Kym Whitley with Finesse Mitchell, Leah Remini, Jerry Springer, and Sherri Shepherd.

Many started making the rumors that Wendy Williams would never return to the show since the last time she was on set was July 2021.

Back on November 8, the show’s Instagram posted that she was dealing with some health issues and that as a “woman of a certain age” she knew to listen to her doctors and that “right now, Wendy has to focus on Wendy.”

Some insiders believed that maybe they were rolling with the guest hosts to find a more permanent solution if Wendy couldn’t return to her job.

In an article posted by TMZ today, we might have our answer. According to the article, their source says that a “permanent guest host” is about to be named.

When asked who out of the many guest hosts would be taking over, the source said it would most likely be Sherri Shepherd.

The deal is still being worked on but the name of the show is still up in the air. If approved Shepherd would take over the reins full-time starting in September.

This would indicate that she wouldn’t be a permanent guest host but rather the main host.

The big factor in this deal is if Wendy Williams can get better. From now until September, they are leaving a window for Wendy. If she gets better then she would have the opportunity to come back. If she doesn’t get better then Shepherd will take over.

Let’s talk about it below!
