Masked Dancer Disco Ball Revealed – Episode 1 Recap
Last night was the season premiere of Fox’s “The Masked Dancer.”
For those who don’t know the show, The Masked Dancer is the spinoff of the very popular show, The Masked Singer.” The difference between these shows is that while other other one you could hear their voice, this one you can only see their moves.
This makes it very difficult for the judges to guess who is under which mask.
As you know figuring out someone just from their body language along is very hard. So, here we will discuss everything about The Masked Dancer show.
The Masked Dancer characters of the show:
For the Masked Dancer premiere we only got to see the contestants in Group A.
Group A consisted of the Disco Ball, the Hammerhead, the Tulip, the Cricket, and the Exotic Bird.
Let’s go through everything we learned.
The Hammerhead
The Hammerhead danced to Backstreet Boys’ “Everybody.” He didn’t look like a professional dancer but did rock the stage.
In his clue package, Hammerhead said, “I’m a workaholic, but things have never come easily to me.” He said he had “early fame” that didn’t satisfy him the manner in which he figured it would, saying he “withdrew from what my identity was and moved to who I thought everybody needed me to be. I understood I simply was troubled.”
His word up clue was “dramatic”
After this performance, the judges made the following guesses for this celebrity.

The Tulip
Tulip performed to Fergie’s “Fergalicious.” After the performance, the celebrity in the voice-over said that this dance is dedicated to anyone who is looking to find their place in the world. It is because they related this to their story of how they found a strange new place to live peacefully.
As for the clues, there were references to Glee club, acrobatics, TikTok, a Mountain Lauren high school yearbook, and a journey from Alabama to Washington DC.
Her word up clue was “Triple”
After this performance, the panel made the following guesses.

The Cricket
Cricket danced to The Pointer Sisters’ “Jump (for my love).”
The Cricket said “I never thought I’d do a show like this,” which to us means that he has never danced professionally before.
In his clue package, Cricket’s talked about to his current partner saying that they are an “ultimate power couple.” He goes on to say that she “taught me the art of balance.”
His word up clue was “accomplished”
After this, the panel made the following guesses.

The Exotic Bird
The Exotic Bird She performed to Daddy Yankee and Katy Perry’s “Con Calma.” She didn’t look like a professional dancer but did give off athletic vibes. She was easily the strongest performer of the night.
In her clue package, she said she is competitive, saying, “I started when I was a teenager.” Speaking to some of her struggles, she said, “I felt attacked a lot. For losing, for my relationships, even just for being a big bird.”
Her word up clue was “scored”

The Disco Ball
The Disco Ball danced to “Uptown Funk ” and the mask gave major clues by pouring the iced tea in a glass and then pointed it to a shark fin. We could say that most of you have guessed it by now, but the judges were unable to do this.
The Disco Ball was later voted off and reveled to be Ice-T.
Ice-T told his manager that he wanted to do the show because his daughter is a fan of The Masked Singer show. As you know the show is prerecorded so knowing that he said that he would be very excited to watch the show with his daughter to see her reaction.
